《Pueblo Leather: The Art of Leather Breathing a Millennium of Tradition》
We use "Pueblo leather," meticulously crafted from the shoulder part of female cows over two years old, selected by the world-renowned tannery "Badalassi Carlo S.r.l." based in Tuscany, Italy, using the traditional vacchetta method.
The vacchetta method is an Italian traditional technique boasting over 1,000 years of history. Without using any chemicals, pure beef tallow is slowly added to cowhide that has been thoroughly tanned with vegetable tannins. This process, sparing no time or effort, imbues the leather with a moist texture and a rich, deep character.
Furthermore, a unique brushing process using sandpaper and a brass brush is applied to the surface of the oil-rich leather, giving it a smooth, matte texture at first. As it is used, the color deepens and transforms into a beautiful, lustrous sheen.
Oleic acid, the main component of beef tallow that permeates the entire leather, is a natural moisturizing agent also abundant in human sebum. It naturally blends with the leather and protects it from drying out or losing too much moisture, keeping it moist and soft for a long time.
