We use "Pueblo Leather," carefully crafted using the traditional Vacchetta method from carefully selected shoulder parts of female cows over two years old by Badarassi Carlo, a world-renowned tannery based in Tuscany, Italy.
The Vacchetta method is a traditional Italian technique with over 1000 years of history. Without using any chemicals, pure beef tallow is slowly added to cowhide that has been thoroughly tanned with vegetable tannins. This process, which spares no time or effort, gives the leather a moist texture and a deep, rich feel.
Furthermore, by applying a unique brushing process using sandpaper and a brass brush to the surface of the leather, which is rich in oil, it initially has a smooth, matte texture. With use, the color deepens and transforms into a beautiful, glossy sheen.
Oleic acid, the main component of beef tallow that permeates the entire leather, is a natural moisturizing ingredient also abundant in human sebum. It naturally blends into the leather, protecting it from drying out or losing too much moisture, thus maintaining its softness and suppleness for a long time.
