《Shinki Hikaku Cordovan》

Shinki Hikaku's cordovan is produced from raw hides transported by sea from Europe, undergoing a long period of aging and tanning.

It is horsehide made over a total of 10 months, by carefully shaving off the dense fibrous layer found only in the horse's hindquarters from the reverse side, followed by extensive aging and drying.

Known as the "King of Leather" or "Leather Diamond" for its unique luster and profound texture, it is a high-quality leather.

Oil cordovan undergoes a glazing process after being dyed, which creates its transparent beauty, luster, and deep color.
The surface subtly reveals the raw texture of the leather, ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike.

《Pueblo Leather from Badalassi Carlo》

Pueblo leather, an Italian leather, is produced using the vacchetta method by Badalassi Carlo, a globally renowned tannery in Tuscany, Italy, from the shoulder parts of cowhides from female cattle over two years old.

The traditional Italian vacchetta method, with over 10 centuries of history, uses no chemicals. Instead, it involves slowly adding highly pure "beef tallow oil" to cowhide tanned with vegetable tannins.

This high-quality Italian leather, saturated with oil, is then processed by brushing with sandpaper and a brass brush.

Initially, it has a smooth, matte texture, but with use, it develops a deeper color and a superb luster.

Furthermore, the oil permeated throughout the leather makes the surface incredibly moist and soft to the touch, also protecting the leather from some water and dryness.
This is due to the effect of oleic acid, the main component of beef tallow oil.
Oleic acid is resistant to degradation and drying, maintaining an appropriate moisture level within the leather and preventing it from becoming too stiff due to moisture loss.
