We use 'Pueblo Leather,' meticulously crafted using the traditional Vachetta method, from carefully selected shoulder parts of female cattle aged two years or older.
The Vachetta method is an Italian traditional technique with over 1,000 years of history. Without using any chemicals, highly pure neat's-foot oil is slowly added to cowhide that has been thoroughly tanned with vegetable tannins. This painstaking process, which spares no time or effort, gives the leather a moist texture and profound character.
Furthermore, the surface of the oil-rich leather is treated with a unique brushing process using sandpaper and a brass brush, resulting in an initially smooth, matte texture. As it is used, the color deepens, transforming into a lustrous and beautiful sheen.
Oleic acid, the main component of the neat's-foot oil permeating the entire leather, is a natural moisturizing ingredient also abundant in human sebum. It naturally blends with the leather and protects it from drying out or excessive moisture loss, allowing it to maintain its soft and supple texture indefinitely.
